Extract from Geddes, P., Cities in Evolution (1946) reads "What now of the radiating plan so dear to modern French architects?. Note here the obvious illustration of its origin in the forest rides laid out for the safety, convenience & pleasure of the hunt."

The material consists of manuscript notes paginated 1-5 and a manuscript list of French phrases, relating to a lecture 'Mechanism and function of enzyme adaptation in cell metabolism' by Martin Rivers Pollock, given in Paris, France, February 1952.

Reproduction print of a plan of Nancy, 1633, most likely cut from 'Mémoires de la Société d'archéologie Lorraine', published in 1860. Legacy printed catalogue notes that this was cut from display to make an enlarged photographic copy. Image was used in Patrick Geddes' 'Cities and Town Planning Exhibition'.
